LAKESHORE EYE CARE @ THE BOARDWALK TOWNE LAKE

LET US HELP YOU SEE YOUR BEST

Annual eye exams are recommended as a part of preventative health care. Individuals can be unaware of problems because there are often no obvious signs or symptoms. It is important to detect and treat vision problems early in order to maintain good vision and eye health.

COMPRENSIVE EYE EXAM

Yearly eye exams are important regardless of your age or health. A comprehensive exam determines your prescription for eyeglasses, contact lenses and also screens for common eye diseases.  Our doctor will assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health. Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms. As a result, individuals are often unaware that problems exist. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems are important for maintaining good vision and eye health, and when possible, preventing vision loss.

CONTACT LENS EXAM & FITTING

Your contact lens exam will optimize thousands of combinations of lens size, shape and power to ensure an optimal fit and great vision. During a contact lens examination, our Doctor will evaluate your eyes to determine which lens is right for you.  Although a prescription for eyeglasses and a contact lens prescription may contain similar information, a contact lens exam is more in depth and the prescription contains measurements for lenses that sit directly on the cornea.

DIGITAL RETINAL PHOTOS

A digital retinal photo is the latest innovation in optical care that allows your eye doctor to screen for certain eye diseases and monitor your ocular health.   The photo that is produced captures a clear view of the optic nerve, blood vessels, macula and fovea.  Digital photos let the doctor zoom in on your retina allowing for greater detail. In less than a second, it digitally scans your eyes then prints out a "map" of your eye's system. The photos can be used as baseline for year to year comparisons of your ocular health and play a key role in detecting ocular diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other retinal problems.  This picture gives the optometrist a closer look and a better idea of what's going on with your vision.
